PLEASE NOTE: Counselors will be available on September 24, 2017 for all those who are wondering why nothing happened on September 23, 2017. There is a prophetic “trigger” that has been pulled, aimed directly at the heads of believers everywhere. The September 23, 2017 “End of the World” crowd has folks whipped into a frenzy over what many believe is a prophetic event that will either occur as the rapture, or the beginning of sorrows and a period of tribulation. While it would be great to imagine being instantly swept into the presence of our Lord, the current frenzy over date-setting (tried and failed many times before by well-intentioned people) has set the stage for a mockery of our Christian faith, possibly at levels never before seen. Ironically, this in and of itself, is a sign of the end times! We should not be a stumbling block for anyone, let alone a world that is completely ignorant of the judgment of that is coming. Guard your minds and your hearts and think about it. If the Lord Himself said that “No man knows the day or the hour, except for the Father”, then why do we, as mere mortals, think we can pick that very date and time? Besides, each of us has a personal rapture date that was set before we were born, as so eloquently explained in Psalm 139. However it happens, whether we are taken as a group as the Bride of Christ or taken individually thru our own personal physical death, we should be prepared to meet the Lord at any moment. Don’t get distracted by all the noise…stay frosty and focused on what is going on, but use your discretion to understand the significance of the events that will eventually lead to the sudden, unannounced return of Christ for His church, and the ensuring judgment on an unbelieving world. And when we get together next week on the 24th, we’ll encourage each other and continue to disciple each other in the Lord so that when we do meet Him face to face, we can hear the words “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
