The Spiritual Seduction of Satan by James Jacob Prasch

The Spiritual Seduction of Satan by James Jacob Prasch

(The Birds)

From a literary perspective Revelation is the most Hebraic book of the New Testament. Other Books of the New Testament with a Jewish audience for instance Hebrews, James, Peter, Matthew, John and Jude. Then Philippians for instance was written to Greeks. So when you look at the books you have to take their “Sitz im Leben” of the audience into consideration!

Revelation uses Old Testament Motifs although in the New Testament. You see Old Testament Apocalyptic Literature like in Zachariah, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel etc. recycled in the Greek language in Revelation. The book of Ezekiel for instance appears in every chapter of Revelation except for one!

So to understand New Testament Apocalyptic Literature we have to understand Old Testament Apocalyptic Literature! So to understand Revelation we have to start in the Old Testament!

The Tower of Babel
Gen 11:1  Now the whole earth used the same language and the same words.
Gen 11:2  It came about as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.
Gen 11:3  They said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly.” And they used brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.
Gen 11:4  They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”
Gen 11:5  The LORD came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.
Gen 11:6  The LORD said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.
Gen 11:7  “Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”
Gen 11:8  So the LORD scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth; and they stopped building the city.
Gen 11:9  Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the LORD scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.

Daniel Taken to Babylon
Dan 1:1  In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.
Dan 1:2  The Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the vessels of the house of God; and he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and he brought the vessels into the treasury of his god.

Psa_137:1  By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down and wept, When we remembered Zion.

The Fall of Babylon
Rev 18:1  After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his glory.
Rev 18:2  And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.

Ahab and Jezebel

(There is usually a man (Authority – Ahab) used by Jezebel to do her filthy deeds)

In the same regard the Political System will be used to do the Spiritual damage at the end!

(Antichrist and False Prophet will move hand in hand until the Antichrist has achieved his goal then he will anyway turn on the False Prophet))

1Ki 16:30  Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD more than all who were before him.

1Ki 16:31  It came about, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he married Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went to serve Baal and worshiped him.

1Ki 16:32  So he erected an altar for Baal in the house of Baal which he built in Samaria.
1Ki 16:33  Ahab also made the Asherah. Thus Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel than all the kings of Israel who were before him.
1Ki 16:34  In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; he laid its foundations with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.

Prophets hid

1Ki 18:3  Ahab called Obadiah who was over the household. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly;
1Ki 18:4  for when Jezebel destroyed the prophets of the LORD, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave, and provided them with bread and water.)

Forsaken the commandments of the LORD

1Ki 18:17  When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, “Is this you, you troubler of Israel?”
1Ki 18:18  He said, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, because you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and you have followed the Baals.

1Ki 18:19  “Now then send and gather to me all Israel at Mount Carmel, together with 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”

Prophets of Baal slain and Jezebels reaction

1Ki 18:40  Then Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal; do not let one of them escape.” So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.

1Ki 19:1  Now Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword.
1Ki 19:2  Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and even more, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.”

Death of Naboth and they took his vineyard!

1Ki 21:14  Then they sent word to Jezebel, saying, “Naboth has been stoned and is dead.”
1Ki 21:15  When Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, Jezebel said to Ahab, “Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth, the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead.”
1Ki 21:16  When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, Ahab arose to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

Judgement of Jezebel (It takes long but it comes!!)

1Ki 21:23  “Of Jezebel also has the LORD spoken, saying, ‘The dogs will eat Jezebel in the district of Jezreel.’

Jehu Executes Jezebel
2Ki 9:30  When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it, and she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out the window.
2Ki 9:31  As Jehu entered the gate, she said, “Is it well, Zimri, your master’s murderer?”
2Ki 9:32  Then he lifted up his face to the window and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” And two or three officials looked down at him.
2Ki 9:33  He said, “Throw her down.” So they threw her down, and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall and on the horses, and he trampled her under foot.
2Ki 9:34  When he came in, he ate and drank; and he said, “See now to this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king’s daughter.”
2Ki 9:35  They went to bury her, but they found nothing more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands.

And there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do evil

1Ki 21:25  Surely there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do evil in the sight of the LORD, because Jezebel his wife incited him.

Adversaries Oppose the Rebuilding
Ezr 4:1  Now when the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the people of the exile were building a temple to the LORD God of Israel,
Ezr 4:2  they approached Zerubbabel and the heads of fathers’ households, and said to them, “Let us build with you, for we, like you, seek your God; and we have been sacrificing to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us up here.”
Ezr 4:3  But Zerubbabel and Jeshua and the rest of the heads of fathers’ households of Israel said to them, “You have nothing in common with us in building a house to our God; but we ourselves will together build to the LORD God of Israel, as King Cyrus, the king of Persia has commanded us.”

A Vision of a Woman in a Basket
Zec 5:5  Then the angel who was speaking with me went out and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is going forth.”
Zec 5:6  I said, “What is it?” And he said, “This is the ephah going forth.” Again he said, “This is their appearance in all the land
Zec 5:7  (and behold, a lead cover was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting inside the ephah.”
Zec 5:8  Then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he threw her down into the middle of the ephah and cast the lead weight on its opening.
Zec 5:9  Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and there two women were coming out with the wind in their wings; and they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens.
Zec 5:10  I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “Where are they taking the ephah?”
Zec 5:11  Then he said to me, “To build a temple for her in the land of Shinar; and when it is prepared, she will be set there on her own pedestal.”

Elements that come into play

Shinar (Babylon), Wicked Woman (Babylon Motif, Seduction, False Religion), Ephah (Food Container and Measuring Unit) and Stork (Powerful Demon)

The Bimbo is hiding in the Basket! Demonically Empowered! Her False doctrine is in the Food Supply! She is going to Babylon!

Rev 18:4  I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;

The Birds

Mat 13:4  and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up.

Mat 13:19  “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.

The Mustard Seed and the Leaven

Mat 13:31  He presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;
Mat 13:32  and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that THE BIRDS OF THE AIR come and NEST IN ITS BRANCHES.”
Mat 13:33  He spoke another parable to them, “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened.”

Jezebel (Jezebel – Ahab) Spiritual Seduction

Religious system in league with political system will persecute the true Church

Rev 2:20  ‘But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and she teaches and leads My bond-servants astray so that they commit acts of immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
Rev 2:21  ‘I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.
Rev 2:22  ‘Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.
Rev 2:23  ‘And I will kill her children with pestilence, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

Mashal (Example from every Day Life) and Nimshal (Spiritual interpretation)

(Seduction straight forward meaning and  Spiritual Seduction deeper meaning)

Consider that “The Night” is the most frequent metaphor for the Great Tribulation!

Pro 5:1  My son, give attention to my wisdom, Incline your ear to my understanding;
Pro 5:2  That you may observe discretion And your lips may reserve knowledge.
Pro 5:3  For the lips of an adulteress drip honey And smoother than oil is her speech;
Pro 5:4  But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.
Pro 5:5  Her feet go down to death, Her steps take hold of Sheol.
Pro 5:6  She does not ponder the path of life; Her ways are unstable, she does not know it.
Pro 5:7  Now then, my sons, listen to me And do not depart from the words of my mouth.
Pro 5:8  Keep your way far from her And do not go near the door of her house,
Pro 5:9  Or you will give your vigor to others And your years to the cruel one;
Pro 5:10  And strangers will be filled with your strength And your hard-earned goods will go to the house of an alien;
Pro 5:11  And you groan at your final end, When your flesh and your body are consumed;
Pro 5:12  And you say, “How I have hated instruction! And my heart spurned reproof!
Pro 5:13  “I have not listened to the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined my ear to my instructors!
Pro 5:14  “I was almost in utter ruin In the midst of the assembly and congregation.”
Pro 5:15  Drink water from your own cistern And fresh water from your own well.
Pro 5:16  Should your springs be dispersed abroad, Streams of water in the streets?
Pro 5:17  Let them be yours alone And not for strangers with you.
Pro 5:18  Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice in the wife of your youth.
Pro 5:19  As a loving hind and a graceful doe, Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; Be exhilarated always with her love.
Pro 5:20  For why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?
Pro 5:21  For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the LORD, And He watches all his paths.
Pro 5:22  His own iniquities will capture the wicked, And he will be held with the cords of his sin.
Pro 5:23  He will die for lack of instruction, And in the greatness of his folly he will go astray.

Spiritual Seduction increases in the last days!

Pro 6:24  To keep you from the evil woman, From the smooth tongue of the adulteress.
Pro 6:25  Do not desire her beauty in your heart, Nor let her capture you with her eyelids.
Pro 6:26  For on account of a harlot one is reduced to a loaf of bread, And an adulteress hunts for the precious life.
Pro 6:27  Can a man take fire in his bosom And his clothes not be burned?
Pro 6:28  Or can a man walk on hot coals And his feet not be scorched?
Pro 6:29  So is the one who goes in to his neighbor’s wife; Whoever touches her will not go unpunished.

Spiritual Seduction increases in the last days!

Pro 7:4  Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” And call understanding your intimate friend;
Pro 7:5  That they may keep you from an adulteress, From the foreigner who flatters with her words.
Pro 7:6  For at the window of my house I looked out through my lattice,
Pro 7:7  And I saw among the naive, And discerned among the youths A young man lacking sense,
Pro 7:8  Passing through the street near her corner; And he takes the way to her house,
Pro 7:9  In the twilight, in the evening, In the middle of the night and in the darkness.
Pro 7:10  And behold, a woman comes to meet him, Dressed as a harlot and cunning of heart.
Pro 7:11  She is boisterous and rebellious, Her feet do not remain at home;
Pro 7:12  She is now in the streets, now in the squares, And lurks by every corner.
Pro 7:13  So she seizes him and kisses him And with a brazen face she says to him:
Pro 7:14  “I was due to offer peace offerings; Today I have paid my vows.
Pro 7:15  “Therefore I have come out to meet you, To seek your presence earnestly, and I have found you.
Pro 7:16  “I have spread my couch with coverings, With colored linens of Egypt.
Pro 7:17  “I have sprinkled my bed With myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
Pro 7:18  “Come, let us drink our fill of love until morning; Let us delight ourselves with caresses.
Pro 7:19  “For my husband is not at home, He has gone on a long journey;
Pro 7:20  He has taken a bag of money with him, At the full moon he will come home.”
Pro 7:21  With her many persuasions she entices him; With her flattering lips she seduces him.
Pro 7:22  Suddenly he follows her As an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as one in fetters to the discipline of a fool,
Pro 7:23  Until an arrow pierces through his liver; As a bird hastens to the snare, So he does not know that it will cost him his life.
Pro 7:24  Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, And pay attention to the words of my mouth.
Pro 7:25  Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths.
Pro 7:26  For many are the victims she has cast down, And numerous are all her slain.
Pro 7:27  Her house is the way to Sheol, Descending to the chambers of death.

Spiritual Seduction

The Great Prostitute and the Beast

Rev 17:4  The woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a gold cup full of abominations and of the unclean things of her immorality,
Rev 17:5  and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Rev 17:6  And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered greatly.
Rev 17:7  And the angel said to me, “Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.
Rev 17:8  “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up out of the abyss and go to destruction. And those who dwell on the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder when they see the beast, that he was and is not and will come.

Rev 17:16  “And the ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh and will burn her up with fire.

Rev 17:18  “The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.”

Rev 18:3  “For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.”
Rev 18:4  I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;
Rev 18:5  for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
Rev 18:6  “Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.
Rev 18:7  “To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ‘I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.’
Rev 18:8  “For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.
Rev 18:9  “And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning,
Rev 18:10  standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’
Rev 18:11  “And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargoes any more—
Rev 18:12  cargoes of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood and every article of ivory and every article made from very costly wood and bronze and iron and marble,
Rev 18:13  and cinnamon and spice and incense and perfume and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and cargoes of horses and chariots and slaves and human lives.
Rev 18:14  “The fruit you long for has gone from you, and all things that were luxurious and splendid have passed away from you and men will no longer find them.
Rev 18:15  “The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,
Rev 18:16  saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, she who was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls;
Rev 18:17  for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!’ And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood at a distance,
Rev 18:18  and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What city is like the great city?’
Rev 18:19  “And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!’
Rev 18:20  “Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her.”
Rev 18:21  Then a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer.
Rev 18:22  “And the sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any longer; and no craftsman of any craft will be found in you any longer; and the sound of a mill will not be heard in you any longer;
Rev 18:23  and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.
Rev 18:24  “And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth.”

The Birds

Lev 11:13  ‘These, moreover, you shall detest among the birds; they are abhorrent, not to be eaten: the eagle and the vulture and the buzzard,
Lev 11:14  and the kite and the falcon in its kind,
Lev 11:15  every raven in its kind,
Lev 11:16  and the ostrich and the owl and the sea gull and the hawk in its kind,
Lev 11:17  and the little owl and the cormorant and the great owl,
Lev 11:18  and the white owl and the pelican and the carrion vulture,
Lev 11:19  and the stork, the heron in its kinds, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
